Why Choose
Foundayo provides an oral treatment option for eligible adults requiring medical management of weight or type 2 diabetes. Its active ingredient, orforglipron, acts on GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite regulation and glucose metabolism.
The 2.5mg tablet is an early dose in the prescribed treatment schedule. Treatment is individualised according to response, tolerability and clinical considerations, with dose changes made only in line with the prescribing information and advice from a healthcare professional.
Common Uses
Weight management: Used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults with a BMI of 30kg/m² or above, or a BMI of 27–29.9kg/m² with at least one weight-related health condition.
Type 2 diabetes: Used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control in adults whose type 2 diabetes is insufficiently controlled. It may be prescribed alone when metformin is considered inappropriate or in combination with other diabetes medicines, as clinically appropriate.
How It Works
Foundayo contains orforglipron, a non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist. It activates GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite regulation and glucose metabolism.
Its effects include reducing food intake, supporting weight reduction and improving blood glucose control. It also delays gastric emptying, particularly after the initial dose, with this effect diminishing over time.
Foundayo should be used only as prescribed and alongside the lifestyle measures recommended by the treating healthcare professional.
